This tour is created for those who want to join The Route 66 Centennial Celebration activities as America approaches the 100th birthday of Route 66, an iconic highway that changed travel in America forever.  The actual Route 66 birthday is November 22, 1926. The Centennial Celebrations begin in 2025 and continue for 5 years.

Annette LaFortune Murray

I am a lifelong learner, lifelong teacher, and lifelong traveler.  I cannot wait to travel on historic Route 66 from Tulsa, OK to Chicago, IL with you.  There is much to see, smell, taste, touch, and listen to as we experience the beauty of a by-gone era.

My travel-colleague, Karen Smith, who is a long-time travel and tour guide, will be with us.  Karen plans trips like no one else!  She has worked for Village Tours and The Oklahoma Historical Society as well as Downtown Tulsa Tours.

Together, Karen and I have over 50 years of travel experience as travelers!

Welcome aboard The Route 66 Centennial Motorcoach Tour of 2025!

Karen and I can’t wait to meet you. I have completed 6 book-signing tours along Route 66 for my picture book, ABC, WHAT DO YOU SEE? ROLLING ALONG ROUTE 66. This trip highlights many of my favorite stops.
