Hello, I’m Annette!

Everyone has a story to tell. Some are lengthy with complex connections. Some are short, sweet, and touch our souls. This Tulsa girl who loves picture books, people, and visiting places along Route 66, has some great to tell!

As a child I always dreamed of being a teacher. Writing words, then sentences, then stories on my very own blackboard was my favorite playtime activity. When my dream came true after college, I found myself immersed in a classroom full of desks, kids, books, and continuous fun!

After two decades of teaching, I took it a step further. I became a school librarian. I had books and authors on my mind 24/7 while planning, reading, writing, listening, trading, ordering, and doing it again and again every day as the Library Media Director for a K-8 school.

I’m thrilled to share my journey as a lifelong learner, traveler, reader, and writer with you. I look forward to exploring some really cool picture books together!
